Shoot sneak peek with Francesca Allen

Last week we had an amazing, but rather cold (-3C), shoot in Isabella Plantation, Richmond Park. We stayed the whole day outside freezing, but I'm very pleased with it, and can't wait to see the result!
Thanks everyone for being so awesome and patient even though it was awfully cold!
Here are some sneak peek from the day...

Oscar special

Life has been crazy... so much to do in so little time. But thankfully, I have two weeks free from university and can rest a little, or GET SICK! Yes, after all the work, Fashion Week and shoots, I got sick. I think this is kind of good, isn't it? Because it doesn't get in my work's way and I can post in my beloved blog! Finally I have time to stay in bed and look at the ceiling. And do nothing! Watch old movies (the first was Ever after: A Cinderella Story, with Drew Barrymore... LOVE IT), catch up with my favourite series and cry with Oscar's acceptance speeches (I get very emotional when I'm ill).
As we're all aware and maybe amazed by, the Oscars took place this Sunday in a sunny LA. As always, it was a great show, but I have to say that I was extremely disappointed with the red carpet fashion. Ok I love pastel, but really?? Why so many pale colours? All I can say is that there was only one person that caught my eye: Sally Field in an incredible Valentino Couture red dress. I loved it, she was by far the best dressed and my favourite.

Beautiful, right?
And here is a selection, in my opinion, of the best acceptance speeches:

Kate Winslet, best speeches ever, she is just so true and emotional.

Julia Roberts, because I just love her.

Meryl Streep, the greatest, just because she is Meryl.

Roberto Benigni, love the happiness.

Robin Williams, love when they are funny.

Marion Cotillard, love when they don't expect.

Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, love when they are super exited.

Adrien Brody, love when they are inspiring

And I also really liked Daniel Day Lewis speech on this year's Oscars, but I can't find a full version!!

One week!

The countdown began! There is one week left for the release of issue 6 of Kneon Magazine! Yay!
I am ultra exited and can't wait to see our amazing shoot.
We shot in an island in Essex, which had car access only twice a day, because most of the day the water flooded the entire road, preventing car access. Oh this was already an exiting start!
The cottage we shoot was lovely, very english and cozy. We had tons of tea, a mini make-up and hair makeover, and great company, and that includes Mishka, Anya's dog (the cutest dog ever). Thank you for that day, it was great!

How I love train trips.

Adele's incredible brush kit, and this is only one!

The road to the island! Some minutes to be completely flooded!

Love with the proper stranger

It's February 2013, you have a small addiction on Pinterest, and after some hours browsing for inspirational pictures, you come across a beautiful image like the above, which immediately caught your eye. Why? Would it be the composition? Colours? Or the fact that this couple fits just perfectly on each other's arms?
You research for an answer, a name, a quote. You find out that it belongs to a movie called "Love with the proper stranger". Instantly thousands of stories begin to form into your mind, and you see that blondelicious Steve Mcqueen playing it cool next to this beautiful unknown brunette with cat eyes (Natalie Wood). You stop, and you think: better watch this movie or I'll loose something in my life.
Forget all your expectations. Prepare yourself for the mystery of black and white movies. After all it's 1963, we are heading 50 years back in time. Think intuitive soundtrack and too many extras. Yes! Couldn't understand why there was always so many people in the footage! Is it the city?
After the first thirty minutes, your expectations are dropped and you are guided by this unexpected story, with a temporal heroine and a too cool for school leading actor. It's liberal and it's fresh. It's rejuvenating and the opposite to cliche.
Just loved it. It was unexpected, and that is what I expect fom life.
Oh, why did I stop watching the classics?
So many old movies, so little time.

Natalie Wood = new muse

My favourite part

He IS kind of sexy, hey?!

This LBD was just perfect!

Great picture! Love her outfit.
